Every day, women face dangers in every facet of life; from walking through an empty parking garage, to heading to your apartment after work.  Are you prepared for the assailant who may be waiting around the corner?  Modern self-defense techniques have been effective for many women who have felt vulnerable in urban and rural communities alike, but improvements can be made.  That’s where Krav Maga can help.  Krav Maga North Shore may prove to be the best self-defense system for women as it takes the strengths of all different martial arts, and combines them; making Krav Maga so effective.

A Complete Approach to Self-Defense

Stories are always circulating about what an attack can do to a community.  Before long, women feel insecure about going out alone at night.  Anyone unprepared to meet a physical or sexual assault, should proceed with extreme caution; however, you have the power to take control of the situation and be the imposing force, who should not be disturbed.  Krav Maga teaches that art of rapid response; preparing you to combat an assailant’s first move.  Beyond That, Krav Maga instills the fighter’s spirit in you.  When some makes and advance, you’ll make sure you are prepared to beat the challenge back.

A Survivor’s Approach to Self-Defense

Krav Maga creator, Imi Lichtenfeld, found himself in the worst situation possible: A Hungarian Jew, living in Bratislava (Slovakia) before World War II; he became target of anti-Semitic mobs prowling the streets for victims.  Lichtenfeld faced assaults with knives, chains, bats and more–often with multiple attackers testing his mettle.  In response, he learned to defend himself by any means necessary.  He sprang into action when he saw a knife; he circled and kicked when he saw two attackers approach and he jabbed quickly in weak spots of opponents to disable them and move on.

In essence, he learned how to meet and beat back attacks so assailants would not have a second chance.  The Krav Maga approach to women’s self-defense  follows the same principles.   If someone tried to intimidate you with a weapon: you’ll feel perfectly capable of disarming them.  If someone tries to lay a hand on you: you will take that arm and twist it until the aggressor is subdued.  Quick jabs to the the throat or solar plexus will make the assailant incapable of continuing.

Becoming the Essence of the Empowered Warrior

Taking the Krav Maga Approach to self-defense means in essence becoming a warrior who must be conquered.  Every Krav Maga practitioner feels the power within them.  It begins with rigorous fitness training.  You will feel improved balance, endurance and strength on every level.  You will be prepared to dive, lunge, kick, dodge and disable attackers.  You will become a complete fighting machine capable to count any assault that comes your way.
